Coming Back
Mt. Tamalpais quiet, open
Lofting above the bustle of towns around
Redwoods in light mist
Upon its slopes
The ongoing stillness
Of wild places
Walking out and into
A sudden and welcome
Well-being
After days of unrest
Breath comes easier
The world feels kind again
I come back to myself
With my feet
Like this, simply
On a forest path
Breathing scented air
Walking, looking, sinking
Into something simple and old

Right on Garth. The paradox! If I connect with the physical world of nature, I will then connect with the non-physical world of the spiritual. I’ll breathe into that.
I will take time today to take my wife Judy by the hand, and together walk a near-by nature trail for a bit. We have been starting a two to six month RV journey since june of last year. We interrupted our six month plan las June after one month to take time off to purchase a “stick” house for our final years on this earth, now that I have reached 80. Extensive dental issues for both of us delayed the journey some more and now my eye (glaucoma) is holding us back. We will take a five week journey to the Grand Canyon in a couple of weeks, followed by an eye surgery then finally a four week nature vacation. For today we will do the nature trail.
Thank you for the reminder,
Agustin
