Can You Hear?
If I say “wind in pine”
Will you hear it?
Only waves of air
Washing around inside you
Through limbs of trees
You planted there long ago
Or yesterday
Will deliver my words —
“wind in pine”
— alive to you
Will carry you into
The pure wonder of wildness,
Like a green needle swept into the sky

deep gratitude to
poets whose wayward toes
have left roads,
arrows in sands’
pines’ winds
muddy banks of brooks
limning the “less travelled” way
to our true home . .
(like the flock of phoebes
hopping, darting, featherfluffing
at our kitchen window feeders
daring me to be
as alert, perky, joyful
as they)
Yea Dinanath! I love yr first ‘issue’ – look forward to more – a great idea grace-fully carried out by a true poet of La Vida!
hope you got my poetic? response to yr first ‘issue’ – can’t tell if it went out or not – forever lost in cyber-land. But congratulations and warm gratitude anyway!
